Finally got a decent picture of a Killdeer ... these guys are everywhere out at the Drying Beds, but they tend to blend into their background very well... I've struggled to get a sharp picture of one. Even this one had to be cropped very tightly because I caught the picture between blades of Johnson grass. Enjoy!

New Lens!
Today I bought a new Tamron 200mm-500mm zoom lens...so, I had to take it for a test drive ;-) I took this picture from quite a LONG distance away - in fact, there was a pond, and the bird was on the other side of the pond from me... this new long focal length is very nice! Enjoy!Taken with Nikon D50, using Tamron lens @ 500mm focal length, 1/800 second shutter.
